I love that last bit about wishing an old lady death.
 Very good of you.The area of LA I live in is pretty bad too. Everyone's up-tight, oh and they LOVE their horns. (The ones on their cars, too.) If you stop for a pedestrian, people assume "oh this asshat's stopping for nothing!!!" and honk, pass, etc.
